Angel Tree "Back to School"

On August 13th, OmniSolv  hosted a Back to School cook-out for 16 local area children who have a mother or father in prison. These are Angel Tree children, which means that an incarcerated parent has to sign them up at the prison level in order for the volunteers of Angel Tree to know about and help care for them

We had hot dogs, hamburgers, cake,  popcorn, snow cones and cotton candy and more for everyone to enjoy when they weren’t “jumping around in the jump up.” After dinner we handed out book bags to all the Angel Tree children which were put together by  OmniSolv employees. The book bags were donated by Bulldog Packaging and everything inside was donated by our employees; paper, composition books, erasers, markers, rulers, folders, pens, pencils, crayons...you name it.

It was a great event for us as I am sure it was for the children and their primary caregivers. We know that it is not a cure for them, but knowing that we have helped start their school year off on the right foot means a lot.
